To Use the Dispenser
Press the rim of tile glass gently against tile
dispenser pad.
Sele,_t CUBEDICE _, CRUSHEDICE
(on some models) or WATER_.
Tile spill shelf is not sell:draining. To
reduce water spotting, tile sheltand its grille
shouM be cleaned regularly.
If no wateris dispensedwhen therefrigeratoris
first instafled,theremaybeair in the water fine
system.Pressthe dispenserpad for at leasttwo
minutesto removetrappedair fromthe water
fineand to lift the watersystem.Toflushout
impuritiesin the waterfine, throwawaythe first
sixglassfulsof water
A light switch (on some models) unns tile
night lightin the dispenser on or off. The
light also comes on when the dispenser pad
is pressed. The light in the dispenser shouM
be replaced with a 7 watt IllaxiIIltlIIl bulb
when it burns out.
CAUTION:Neverput fingersorany other
objectsinto the ice crusherdischargeopening.
Ice Storage Bin
Toremove:
I,ifi tile left corner to flee tile bin fiom tile
shelf and pull tile bin suaight out while
supporting it at fiont and rear.
Toreplace:
Slide tile bin back until tile tab on tile bin
locks into the slot on the shelf. If the bin
does not go all tile way back, remove it and
rotate the drive mechanism 1/4 turn. Then
push the bin back again.
Important Facts About Your Dispenser
>_Do not add ice fiom Uays or bags to
tile storage bin. It may not (rush or
dispense well.
>:Avoid overfilling glass with ice and use of
narrow or exua-tall glasses, l_mked-up ice
can.iron the chute or cause the door in
the clnne to freeze shut. If ice is blocking
the clnne, poke it through with a w{)oden
spoon,
i:YBeverages and fi)ods shouM not be
quick-chilled in tile ice storage bin.
Cans, bottles or tood packages in the
storage bin may cause the icemaker or
mlger to jmn.
>: Some crushed ice may be dispensed even
though you selected CUBEDICE.This
happens occasionally when a tew cubes
accidentally get directed to the crusher.
>_After crashed ice is dispensed, some
water may drip fiom tile chute.
i_ySometimes a mound of sm)w will finm on
the door in the ice chute. This condition
is norlnal and usually occurs when you
have dispensed crushed ice repeatedly.
Tile snow will evennlally ex_tporam.
i_YDispensed water is not ice coM. For
_older water, simply add {rushed ke or
(ubes befi)re dispensing water.
