Problem Possible cause and solution
There is soiling in the
over after the Self Clean
program.
The Self Clean program burns off soiling in the oven
and leaves it as ash.
Using a soft sponge, warm water and liquid dish
soap remove the ashes.
If coarse soiling remains, start the Self Clean pro-
gram again with a longer duration.
The Grill and Griddle
cannot be turned on
The grill and the griddle plate are turned off as soon
as the Self clean program is started.
This is not a fault. The safety shut-off has been acti-
vated.
The controls make further attempts at re-ignition at
approx. one minute intervals (max. 5 attempts).
Turn off the grill and griddle control knob. As soon
as Self clean is finished the grill and the griddle
plate can be switched on again.

The rack and other ac-
cessories make a noise
when being pushed into
or pulled out of the
oven.
The heat resistant surface of the shelf runners creates
friction when accessories are taken in and out of the
oven.
To reduce the friction, lubricate the runners with a
few drops of cooking oil applied with a paper
towel. Repeat this process after each Self Clean
program.
