#1 How frequently should the filter be replaced? I just replaced mine (finally), but want to know how long it should last.

The piece of paper which came with my last set listed the capacity of the filters as 270 gallons, or 1022 liters. Monitor your usage, and calculate how long they will last you. Ours last about 2 years. The light indicator for the faucet is based on a time period of 6 months, and has nothing to do with how the filters are actually performing.
