DIFFICULT STARTING OR
STARTING A FLOODED ENGINE
The engine may be floodedifithas not
startedafter 10 pulls.Rooded engines
can be cleared of excess fuel withthe

• Verifythat the On/Stop switchis inthe
ON position. - :
• Pushchoke knob tothe OFF position.

with left hand and place dgM foot

• Startingcould require manypugsde-
pending on how badlythe unitis
flooded. If engine stillfails to start, re-
fer tothe TROUBLESHOOTINGchart or

Begin cuttingwiththe saw frame
against the log.
Keep the engine at full speed the
entire time you are cutting.
• Allowthe chainto cut foryou. Exert
onlylight _lownward pressure.
• Release'the_throttlerigger as soon
asthe cut Is completed, allowingthe
engineto Idle. If you runthe saw at
fullthrottlewithouta cuffingload,
unnecessarywear can occur.
• Toavoid losingcontrolwhen cut is
complete, donot put pressure on
saw at end of cut.
• Stop enginebeforesettingsawdown.
TREE FELLING TECHNIQUES
