Installing the Batteries
1. Remove the cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Insert the batteries with the (+) and (-) ends pointing in the direction indicated.
3. Install the cover on the back of the remote control.
Additional Remote Functions
Child Lock:
• Press the Increase and Decrease buttons simultaneously to turn the child lock function
on or off.
• While the child lock function is active, the LOCK indicator will show on the remote
display.
• While the child lock function is active, the remote will not send a signal.
Temperature Display Change:
• While the unit is off, press the Decrease and Mode buttons simultaneously to switch the
temperature display between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Light Function:
• While the unit is either off or on, you may hold the Increase and Fan buttons
simultaneously for three (3) seconds to turn the LED display on or off.
Note:
• In order for the remote to function properly, the distance between the remote and the air
conditioner should not exceed 26ft (8m).
• Electronics may interfere with the signal from the remote. This can be resolved by moving
closer to the air conditioner when using the remote.
Caution: Use only AAA batteries. Remove the batteries if the remote control will not be used for
one month or longer. Do not attempt to recharge batteries that are not designed to be recharged.
All batteries should be replaced at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not
dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode.
