Operating Instructions
1. Plug the power supply cord into a
grounded wall outlet. (120VAC,
60Hz).
Important:
This heater comes with a
grounded (3 prong) plug. The
grounded plug must be used with a
grounded outlet. Do not use an
adapter in a 2-slot wall outlet unless
the ground plug of the adapter
properly connects to a building ground.
Using heater without properly
grounded outlet or adapter could
result in an electric shock hazard.
The cord has a plug as shown at A in
Figure below. An adapter as
shown
at C is available for connecting
three-blade grounding-type plugs to
two-slot receptacles. The green
grounding lug extending from the
adapter must be connected to a
permanent ground such as a properly
grounded outlet box. The adapter
should not be used if a three-slot
grounded receptacle is available.
2. Set the thermostat to HI (fully
clockwise).
3. Turn On the unit by selecting a
heat setting (HIGH or LOW) or the
FAN only setting from the Power
and Setting Control Knob. Note:
When setting the heater on FAN,
adjusting the thermostat will have
no effect on fan speed. Setting the
thermostat to MIN will turn the fan
OFF. The Thermostat feature
works with the heater set on LOW
or HIGH.
4. Select a thermostat setting. Ambient
temperature is regulated by
adjusting the thermostat to a desired
position. Allow the unit to operate
and warm up the room. When the
desired temperature is reached, turn
the control knob counterclockwise
until the heater turns off. This is your
ideal setting. The heater will start
automatically when the room
temperature drops below this set
point, and will turn off when the set
point is reached
