Section S: Maintenance
H. Detach spray gun and nozzHe extension from high
pressure hose. Detach nozzHe extension from spray gun
and remove o:ring and screen from nozzHe extension.
Hush screen, spray gun, and nozzHe extension with
dean water to dear debris.
2. PHace inoHine fiHter screen into threaded end of nozzHe
extension. Direction does not matter. Push screen in
with eraser end of pencil until it rests fiat at bottom of
opening.Take care to not bend screen.
3. PHace o:ring into recess. Push o:ring snugHy against
inoHine filter screen.
4. AssembHe nozzHe extension to spray gun, as described
earHier in this manuak
Nozzle Ma[neenance
A puHsing sensation felt whiHe squeezing the spray gun
trigger may be caused by excessive pump pressure.The
principaH cause of excessive pump pressure is a spray tip
cHoKed or restricted with foreign materiaHs, such as dirt,
etc.To correct the probHem, immediately dean the spray tip
foHHowing these instructions:
H. Shut off engine and turn off water supply.
2. Remove spray tip from end of nozzHe extension.
3. Remove inoHine filter from other end of nozzHe
extension.
4. Use a smaHHpaper chipto free any foreign materiaH
dogging or restricting spray tip (Figure H4).
5. Using a garden hose, remove additionaH debris by bacH<
flushing water through nozzHe extension (Figure H5).
BacH<flush between 30 to 60 seconds.
6. ReinstaHH spray tip and inoHine filter into nozzHe
extension.
7. Reconnect nozzHe extension to spray gun.
8. Reconnect water supply,turn on water, and start
engine.
9. Test pressure washer by operating with each quick
connect spray tip.
O-Rin_ Maintenance
Purchase an O-Ring/Maintenance Kit, part number
HgH 922GS by contacting the nearest authorized service
center. It is not incHuded with the pressure washer.This kit
incHudes repHacement o°rings, rubber washer and water
inHet fiHten Refer to the instruction sheet provided in the kit
to service your unit's o°rings.
WARNING
NEVER repair leaking connections with sealant of any kind_
Replace o-ring or seak
Pu_p Maintenance
Changing Pump Oil
Change oiH every 50 hours or once yearHy,whichever
occurs first.
NOTE:You must purchase a premeasured bottle of pump
oik item number H90585GS, by contacting the nearest
authorized service center.
Change pump oil as follows:
H. Drain engine oiH and fuel from pressure washer.
2. Use a 8ram aHHenwrench to remove black pump oiHcap
between high pressure outlet and garden hose inHet
(Figure H6).
