It’s important to periodically perform a visual check of
the pilot and burner flames. Compare them to the
illustration provided. If any flames appear abnormal,
call a service person.

7.1 air shutter

The air shutter settings are factory set for most installations. However,
adjustment may be required depending on fuel type, vent performance
and altitude.
Closing the air shutter will cause a more yellow flame, but can lead to
carboning. Opening the air shutter will cause a more blue flame, but
can cause flame lifting from the burner ports. The flame may not appear
yellow immediately; allow 15 to 30 minutes for the final flame colour to be
established.

7.3 flame height adjustment
The adjustment is made by turning the Hi/Lo knob. The “Hi” setting corresponds to the maximum pressure to the
burner and “Lo” corresponds to the minimum pressure. Actuation of this knob is independent from the actuation
of the ON/OFF control.
