#1 I just purchased a cs158-af, but should the drawer detach. i have burned myself once and spilled oil another. the detach button is locked/covered

The inner basket should only detach from the outer basket if the release button on the handle is pressed. Please give us a call if your air fryer is not behaving this way. We would be happy to help!

#2 Thinking about ordering this unit.What is the temp range (low to high) and how to you eliminate the plastic smell so many people have commented about?

The temperature range for the CS158-AF model is 170°–400°F or 77°–204°C. The "new product" smell should dissipate after a few washes and uses. After unboxing it, we suggest washing the baskets and then running the air fryer with nothing inside of the baskets for 30 minutes at 400°F. We hope this helps!

#3 Does it come with a remote controller?

This air fryer does not come with a remote controller. Instead, it can be conveniently controlled through the VeSync app that you can download on to your smart phone. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are happy to help!
