Troubleshooting
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
My vacuum cleaner
doesn’t work.
No power. Make sure that the power cord is
plugged in.
Make sure that the electrical
breaker has not tripped.
The thermal cutoff might have
shut off the motor. Wait until the
vacuum cools and try again.
Power failure. If a power failure occurs, your vacuum
cleaner will not work. Wait until the
power is restored.
My vacuum cleaner
will not pick up dirt.
The dust cup is full. Empty the dust cup and clean the
filters and try again.
The roller brush is dirty. Clean the roller brush. See Cleaning
the roller brush on page 16.
The drive belt is worn or
broken.
Replace the drive belt. See Replacing
the drive belt on page 19.
The hose is not securely
connected to the
connecting hose.
Make sure that the hose is securely
connected to the connecting hose.
The dust cup is not
installed correctly.
Make sure that the dust cup is pushed
in completely.
The hose is blocked. Check the hose to make sure that
there are no blockages. Clear any
obstructions.
No suction at the end
of the hose.
The hose is blocked. Check the hose to make sure that
there are no blockages. Clear any
obstructions.
A burning smell or the
roller brush will not
turn.
Check the roller brush
for debris
Clean the roller brush.
The drive belt is worn or

pet tool will not turn.

brush for debris
