You have to get the correct battery for this. However, I would save your money, this vacuum is a pos. Stops within 4 mins and we have 2 batteries, once shut off, everything you thought you picked up, comes right back out from the bottom, the brush area. We have had this vacuum for 4 months and it is horrible. Save your money and get the stick vacuum Dyson. It's worth the money, you can even get a refurbished one on Amazon for 150 bucks and it is amazing!
