#1 I've notice that the top of this heater is silver. Can it be painted so it want stand out? Looks like it would be black like the rest.

If by top you mean what is behind the top lip that is usually (in my case it is) covered by the credenza to which it was inserted. This is not meant to be a stand alone heater but is to be inserted into a cabinet. Any other area I would definitely not paint due to heat.

#2 Does it come with a trim kit or does that need to be purchased separately?

Insert bought separately ADDCO sells different sizes pre-made trims for this unit. Trim ordered by phone only 1-800-555-0564

#3 What is the highest thermostat temperature ?

Highest setting is 82 degrees. Have not tried it this high.
