Important Safety Advice
When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electrical shock and
injury to persons, including the following:
If the appliance is damaged, check with the
supplier before installation and operation.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not use in the immediate surroundings of
a bath, shower or swimming pool.
Do not locate the appliance immediately
below a xed socket outlet or connection
box.
This appliance can be used by children
aged form 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by Children
without supervision.
Children of less than 3 years should be
kept away unless continuously supervised.
Children aged from 3 years and less than 8
years shall only switch on/off the appliance
provided that it has been placed or installed
in its intended normal operating position
and they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understanding the hazards
involved. Children aged from 3 years and
less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate
and clean the appliance or perform user
maintenance.
Do not use this appliance in series with a
thermal control, a program controller, a timer
or any other device that switches on the heat
automatically, since a re risk exists when
the appliance is accidentally covered or
displaced.
This appliance is not equipped with a device
to control the room temperature. Do not use
this appliance in small rooms when they are
occupied by persons not capable of leaving
the room on their own, unless constant
supervision is provided.
Ensure that furniture, curtains or other
combustible material are positioned no
closer than 1 metre from the appliance.
In the event of a fault unplug the appliance.
Unplug the appliance when not required for
long periods.
Although this appliance complies with safety
standards, we do not recommend its use
on deep pile carpets or on long hair type of
rugs.
The appliance must be positioned so that
the plug is accessible.
If the supply cord is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or service
agent or a similarly qualied person in order
to avoid a hazard.
Keep the supply cord away from the front of
the appliance.
Warning: In order to avoid overheating,
do not cover the appliance. Do not place
material or garments on the appliance,
or obstruct the air circulation around the
appliance, for instance by curtains or
furniture, as this could cause overheating
and a re risk.
Warning: In order to avoid a hazard due
to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-
out, this appliance must not be supplied
through an external switching device, such
as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is
regularly switched on and off by the utility.
CAUTION - Some parts of this product
can become very hot and cause burns.
Particular attention has to be given where
children and vulnerable people are present.
The Heater carries the Warning
symbol indicating that it must not be
covered.

Please read this information guide carefully to
be able to safely install, use and maintain your
product. You should also retain this for future
reference.
General
WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
This heater must be used on an AC ~ supply only and the
voltage marked on the heater must correspond to the supply
voltage.
Do not switch the appliance on until properly installed. Please
read all the safety warnings and operating instructions.
Unpack the heater carefully and retain the packaging for
possible future use, in the event of moving or returning the
re to your supplier.
Contents of Carton

Remote control and batteries (AAA’s type).
Do not connect the heater to an electricity supply until it is
installed on a wall correctly - see ‘Installation’.

A choice of 1KW or 2KW heat output is provided by the fan
heaters which are concealed within the unit.
The heater can be used remotely or manually - see ‘Operation’.
General features of remote control are:
•Flame picture can be turned On or Off.
•Heat output can be increased or decreased according
to your particular requirements
Please Note: Used in an environment where background
noise is very low, it may be possible to hear the motor which
operates the ame effect. This is normal and should not be a
cause for concern.
Installation
Safety Message - Sufcient expertise is required for installing
this product. If unsure we recommend that you subcontract
the installation and pay special attention to safety during the
installation.
Wall Installation
Do not connect appliance until properly xed to the wall
and the Instruction leaet is fully read. In particular, the
minimum distances must be observed.
For installation of the appliance, care must be taken not to
damage concealed cables.
Please be careful while drilling the holes.
The wall plugs supplied with this product are for use with Block/
Brick built walls only.
This model is designed to be permanently xed to a wall at
a minimum height of 300mm. The wall bracket must be tted
horizontally and the cable routed to the bottom right of the
appliance shown as “a” in Fig. 1.
A height of 600 to 725mm from bottom of the appliance to oor
is recommended for optimum viewing of fuel bed (see Fig. 2
for recommended xing dimensions).
For optimum viewing mark the top four screw xing positions
on wall in accordance with the recommended xing dimensions
- see Fig. 2. Drill holes with a 6mm drill bit.
Fix the wall bracket using the plugs and screws provided - see
Fig. 3.
Carefully lift the appliance up ensuring that the top rear ledge
of the appliance engages the wall bracket and is centrally
positioned. - see Fig. 4.
A bottom xing bracket is supplied. Fix this bracket to the
bottom of the appliance using the silver screw on the underside.
With the bracket in place mark the location of the hole on the
wall. Then remove the appliance,drill the wall, t the wall plug
and re-t the appliance ensuring that you secure it in place by
screwing the bracket to the wall.
Recessed Installation
Please note that this appliance can also be recessed. This
can be installed in a large replace opening or a purpose built
wall. See Fig. 6 for size of recess required and hole xing
dimensions.
It is essential that this re is securly xed to the wall and it is
important that the xing device chosen is appropriate to the
wall material. Some modern internal building materials may
require specialised xing devices to provide a safe, secure
installation. If in doubt, please consult a qualied installer.
The wall should be capable of supporting the weight of the
appliance. If the installation of the bracket on the wall is not
sufciently sturdy, the unit may fall and cause injury or property
damage.
Existing Fireplace
1. Make sure that the re is located on a at surface.
2. Seal all draughts and vents to prevent chimney debris from
falling onto the appliance. Do not install into an existing
replace that is prone to dampness.
3. Remove the re front panel by following the steps as
outlined in ‘Front Panel Removal’ section.
4. Locate the 4 xing holes,2 top and 2 bottom, position the
re accordingly, and rmly x the appliance to the wall using
the appropriate screws - see Fig. 6.
5. Replace the front panel.
New Support Structure Construction
If planning to position your applaince on a purpose built support
structure the following steps must be observed:
1. Place the re in the desired location to see how it will look
in the room.
2. Mark the desired location for the new support structure in the
room and store the re in a safe, dry and dust free location.
3. Using timber studs to support the re, devise and construct
a suitable means of supporting the product within the wall
partition and provide electrical power for the re to be HARD
wired. For recommended sizes of height, width and depth of
opening for recess and hole xing dimensions - see Fig. 6
4. When the structure is complete, remove the front panel of
the re by following the steps as outlined in ‘Front Panel
Removal’ section.
5. Locate the 4 xing holes, position the re accordingly, and
rmly x using the appropriate screws.
6. Replace the front panel.
NOTE: The appliance should be HARD wired to an electrical
power outlet when placed in a recessed installation.
The heater is tted with a exible cable, size 3 x 1.0mm
2
for
connection to the xed wiring of the premises through a suitable
connection box positioned adjacent to the heater.
A means for disconnection must be incorporated in the xed
wiring of the premises in accordance with the wiring rules.
Please consult a qualied electrician for appropriate wiring
requirements.
Front Panel Removal
To remove the front panel please apply the following procedure:
While holding the front panel by its sides with both hands, (1)
carefully tilt the bottom of the frame outwards until free and
then lift the panel up (2) and then away (3) from the main
body - see Fig. 7.

Operation of the Wall Fire.
Manual Operation
The switches are located at the bottom right side of the
appliance - see Fig. 8.
S1 - Power Switch.
S2 - Fire Operation Mode.
S3 - Downlight On/Off.
Remote Operation
The standby switch (S1) must rst be turned ‘ON’.
Note: It takes some time for the receiver to respond to the
transmitter. DO NOT PRESS the buttons more than once within
two seconds for correct operation.
Manual & Remote Operation
The standby switch (S1) must rst be turned ‘ON’ to operate
the appliance manually or by remote control
Switch 2 (S2) of the appliance or the “I” button on the remote
control operate the re as follows:
Setting Operation Conrmation Light
(Remote or S2 switch) (Fig. 9)
Flame Effect Press the ‘I’ button once Top Neon
Flame Effect & 1kw Heat Press the ‘I’ button twice Middle Neon
Flame Effect & 2kw Heat Press the ‘I’ button three times. Bottom Neon
When using the S2 switch press the “O” side of the button
goes to the previous settings.
Pressing the “O” button on the remote control turns the
appliance off. To turn the appliance On press the “I”
button.
The unit is supplied with a Top Light to illuminate the fuel bed.
This feature can be turned ON or OFF depending on your
preference. Switch 3 allows you to control this light.
To turn off the power the power switch S1 must be turned ‘OFF’.
Maintenance
WARNING – BEFORE UNDERTAKING ANY MAINTENANCE
OR CLEANING, REMOVE PLUG OR DISCONNECT FROM
THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
Light Emitting Diode
This re is tted with LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamps. These
LED lamps are maintenance-free and should not require
replacing during the life of the product.
Thermal Safety Cut-out
For your safety, this appliance has been tted with thermal
cut-outs. In the event that the product overheats, the cut-out
switches the heat off automatically.
To bring the heat back into operation, remove the cause of the
overheating, then unplug or turn off the electrical supply to the
heater for up to 10 minutes.
When the heater has cooled sufciently, re-connect and switch
on the heater.
Cleaning
WARNING – ALWAYS DISCONNECT FROM THE POWER
SUPPLY BEFORE CLEANING THE APPLIANCE.
For general cleaning use a soft clean duster never use
abrasive cleaners. The glass viewing screen should be
cleaned carefully with a soft cloth. DO NOT use proprietary
glass cleaners.
Recycling
For electrical products sold within the European
Community.
At the end of the electrical products useful life it
should not be disposed of with household waste.
Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with
your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice in your
country.
After Sales Service
Your product is guaranteed for one year from the date of
purchase.
Within this period, we undertake to repair or exchange this
product free of charge (subject to availability) provided it
has been installed and operated in accordance with these
instructions.
Your rights under this guarantee are additional to your statutory
