As long as you remove the electrical motor on top it is possible to wash the lid. The rubber round the edge is a little bit fiddly to dry but doesn’t take long.

1. Make sure the stirrer and cooker are unplugged.
2. Pull the stirrer from under the lid and motor by the stalk. Its sprung loaded and a little stiff when new.
3. Press in the clips on the side of the motor (on top of the lid) The lid can then be wiped with a damp cloth without getting the motor wet and the stirrer can be washed separately

I don’t think you can continuously for 10 mins with out standing over it. Auto Pulse would be the preferred option. But only does it for 1 minute without pressing it again. The recommendations for use say
Auto Button - Auto stir operates after your food has been cooking for 2 hours. Auto will then stir for
5 minutes every 30 minutes until your slow cooker is switched off.

Auto Pulse - Pulse for an instant 1 minute stir. Pulse setting is used to give your cooking a quick stir from time to time while still holding in heat and flavour. Pulse is not an automatic stirring function.
