THE AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF
The kettle will switch o automatically and the power indicator light (E) will go out when the water has
boiled or the kettle is removed from the base.
If you want to stop the heating process before the kettle automatically switches o, simply press the ON/
OFF switch (F) down again.
When the water has boiled the kettle will switch o automatically. If the kettle is only lled with a little
water, it takes longer to switch o.
USING YOUR KETTLE
Before using your kettle, you should wipe it inside and outside with a damp cloth due to hygienic reasons.
Initial use
Place the base unit on a rm surface. The base unit must be dry before us.
If the mains cord is longer than necessary it can be wound up at the bottom of the base unit.
Open the lid.
Fill with at least sucient water, but not higher than the MAX mark.
Close the lid until it engages. The automatic switches o can only function reliably if this is done.
Wipe excess water o the kettle.
Place the kettle onto the base in any position you wish.
Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.
Press the ON/OFF switch down to the ON position, the power indicator light lights up and the
kettle starts to heat up.
The ON/OFF switch only catches when the kettle is on the base unit.
Do not use the water from the rst boiling cycle to prepare food.
Be careful not to spill any water onto the base unit.
To reheat water, check the water level to ensure it is above the 0.75L water level. If necessary,
add more water, then place kettle back onto base unit. Press ON/OFF switches down, into the ON
position. You can switch it to OFF position when the temperature reaches your desire through the
temperature dia.
When relling, take care when lifting the lid, as the kettle, if hot, may be full of steam, and keep
your face, hands, etc. clear of the opening.
CLEANING AND CARE
Always disconnect the kettle from the mains supply before cleaning. Allow the kettle to cool
before cleaning.
Never clean the kettle and base unit under running water or immerse it in washing-up water.
Occasionally rinse out inside of the kettle with clean water.
Clean the outside of the appliance only using a damp cloth. Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleansing agents.
