Using your refrigerator
Setting the thermostat
When you plug in your refrigerator for the first time, the compressor and the
interior light start working immediately. The default thermostat setting is MED.
Before storing food in your refrigerator, you should let it run for four hours to make
sure it is working correctly and allow the refrigerator compartment to reach the
correct temperature.
Adjust the temperature by turning the thermostat dial. Available settings are
between MIN and MAX, MAX being the coldest and MIN being the warmest. The
recommended setting for normal use is MED. To turn off your refrigerator, set the
thermostat to OFF.
CAUTIONS:
If you run your refrigerator at an ambient temperature below 50° F (10° C) or
above 109° F (43° C) it will have to work harder to maintain the correct
temperature.
Internal temperatures can vary, based on the location of your refrigerator, the
ambient room temperature, amount of food stored, and how often the door is
opened.
Note: To avoid an ice build up, we suggest that you only use the MAX setting for short periods
of time and only when you add many items at one time.
Notes:
Turning the thermostat to OFF stops the cooling cycle but doesn’t shut off the
power to your refrigerator.
If your refrigerator is unplugged or loses power, you must wait three to five
minutes before restarting it. If you try to restart it before this time delay, your
refrigerator won’t start.
Large amounts of food lower the cooling efficiency of your refrigerator.
When changing the thermostat setting, adjust it one increment at a time. Wait
several hours for the temperature to stabilize between adjustments.
