Flammable materials should not be stored near or on the
cooking surface. This includes paper, plastic and cloth items,
such as cookbooks, plasticware and towels, as well as
flammable liquids. Do not store explosives, such as aerosol
cans, on or near the appliance. Flammable materials may
explode and result in fire or property damage

The counter-top cutout dimensions are: Width 34-9/16″ (878 mm),
Depth 20-3/8″ (517 mm). The minimum distance between cooktop
and the overhead cabinetry is 30”.

Because the cooktop surface on the LG 5-Element Smooth
Surface Electric Cooktop (Black), Model # LCE3010SB is
Ceramic Glass it does not get hot. Ceramic Glass is a poor heat
conductor, and because of its low heat conductivity, heat is
more confined to pots and pans on the cooking zone, which
localizes the heat to the cooking area and keeps the rest of the
cooktop cooler.
