CARE AND CLEANING OPERATING YOUR TOASTER
CRUMB TRAY
The Slide-Out Crumb Tray is located at
the bottom right side of the Toaster.
1. For ease in cleaning, grasp the Crumb
Tray Handle and pull crumb tray all
the way out of the toaster.
Brush crumbs from the tray and,
if necessary, wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
2. ALWAYS dry the tray thoroughly before
replacing in toaster. When replacing, be sure
to push firmly so the tray is fully inserted in
the bottom of the toaster.
EXTERIOR
Wipe outer surfaces of unplugged and cooled toaster with a slightly dampened
soft cloth or sponge and dry with a cloth or paper towel. DO NOT use strong or
abrasive cleaners, as they may scratch the surface, and NEVER spray cleaners
directly onto toaster.
Any other servicing should be performed by a qualified service technician.
WARNING:
DO NOT immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
ALWAYS UNPLUG the toaster from the electric outlet before cleaning.
13. Use the Bagel button to toast bagels and English muffins crisp on the inner-facing side,
and soft and warm on the outside. Place the cut side of the bagel or English muffin in
the toaster with the cut side toward the center of the toaster (Fig. 3). Press the
Bagel button. A darkness setting will appear in the LED display. Press the Lighter or
Darker buttons to decrease or increase the setting. Press the Toast/Cancel button to
start the Bagel cycle. After 3 seconds the time countdown will appear in the LED
display. Decrease or increase setting at any time during cycle by pressing the Lighter
or Darker button. To cancel the cycle at any time, press and hold the Toast/Cancel
button for 3 seconds. At the end of the Bagel cycle, the Bagel and Toast/Cancel
button words will cease to be illuminated.
ADJUSTING THE POWER CORD LENGTH
The retractable cord storage feature on this toaster allows you to adjust the power cord
to the exact length needed from the toaster location to the electrical outlet. Adjust cord
only after it is unplugged and after toaster cools. Do not unplug if any control button
words are illuminated. Press Toast/Cancel button and wait for 3 seconds for control
button words to go out before unplugging toaster.
- If cord is entirely retracted into the toaster or is drawn out to a shorter length than
desired, grasp the cord by the plug with one hand and steady the toaster with the other.
Pull the cord out to the desired length.
- If cord is already drawn out to a greater length than desired, grasp the plug with one
hand, steady the toaster with the other, and pull the plug out slightly to release the catch
mechanism. Then allow the cord to retract to the desired length. If the toaster is to
remain unplugged, allow cord to retract entirely into the toaster.
WARNING: To avoid possible injury to children, DO NOT allow children to use the
retractable cord.
IMPORTANT: If food becomes jammed or wedged in the toaster, the built-in Auto
Power-Off function will automatically shut the power off. UNPLUG the cord and remove
the jammed food item. Press Toaster/Cancel button two times to reset toaster.
WARNING: NEVER use metal utensils to free food from toaster.
TOAST READY ALERT
To activate or deactivate sound, press Lighter and Darker button together and hold down
3 seconds. Two beeps indicate that the sound is on; one beep indicates that the sound
is off.
