Fire Safety •Always have aworkingsmoke detector nearthe kitchen.
•WARNING-TOREDUCE THE RISK OF AGREASE FIRE:
a) Neverleave surface unitsunattendedathigh settings. Boilovers cause
smoking and greasy spilloversthat may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or
medium settings.
b) Always turn hood ON when cooking at highheatorwhen flambeing food
(i.e.Crepes Suzette,CherriesJubilee, PeppercornBeefFlambe').
c) Clean ventilating fans frequently.Greaseshould notbeallowed to accu-
mulate on fan or filter.
d) Use properpan size. Always usecookware appropriate for thesize of the
surfaceelement.
•Inthe eventthatpersonal clothing or hair catches fire, drop androllimmedi-
ately to extinguish flames.
•Smother flames from food fires other than grease fires with bakingsoda.
Neveruse wateroncooking fires.
•WARNING-TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY TO PERSONSINTHE
