Operating the Ice/Water dispenser
92
The Ice/Water dispenser requires a
plumbed-water connection in order for
it to operate (see “Plumbed-water
connection”).
If you do not dispense chilled water or
ice from the Ice/Water dispenser for a
longer period of time, the water/ice
may be stale. Regularly dispense wa-
ter/ice in order to achieve the best wa-
ter quality.
Risk of injury from glass splin-
ters!
Use a sturdy container for collecting
water and ice cubes.
Risk of injury due to incorrect
handling.
Do not hold your hands under the
ice/water dispenser.
Risk of injury due to incorrect
handling.
Never reach into the spout opening
of the Ice Maker.
Health risk due to contaminated
water.
The first 5glasses of chilled water as
well as the first 30–40ice cubes
made after the Ice/Water dispenser
is started up must not be consumed,
as the water will have been used for
the initial rinse through the water
supply line.
This applies to the initial commis-
sioning as well as when using the
appliance again after it has been
turned off for a long while.
Do not place bottles or similar items
in the ice-cube container. The Ice
Maker could become blocked and,
as a result, be damaged.
If the Ice/Water dispenser is not used
again within 2minutes or if the appli-
ance door is opened, the Ice/Water
dispenser will switch to standby mode
automatically and the lighting will go
out.
After it has been activated again, it
can take a few seconds before chilled
water and ice is dispensed again.
