Help Message Displayed How to Reset the Message

ESC
Insert the milk carafe to start brewing. Press “ESC” to exit.
The machine needs to be descaled. Follow the steps described in the
“Descaling” chapter of this manual.
Please note that not descaling your machine will ultimately make it stop
working properly. In this case repair is NOT covered under your warranty.
The machine needs the “INTENZA+” water lter to be replaced.
Red light ashes. Press the “ ” button to exit the stand-by mode.
RESTART TO SOLVE
Take note of the code (E xx) shown in the display at the bottom.
Turn o the machine. After 30 seconds, turn it on again. Try this 2 or 3
times.
If the machine does not start, contact the Philips SAECO hotline in your
country and tell them the code shown in the display. You can nd its
contact details in the warranty booklet by-packed separately or on
www.philips.com/support.
