Concept
The tailgate can be opened and closed with no-
touch activation using the remote control you are
carrying. Two sensors detect a forward-directed
foot motion in the central rear area and the tail‐
gate is opened or closed.
General information
To avoid locking it in the vehicle, do not place the
remote control in the cargo area.
If the remote control is in the sensor area, the
tailgate can be opened or closed inadvertently by
an unconscious or alleged recognized foot
movement.
The sensor has an approximate range of
5 ft/1.50 m extending from the rear of the vehi‐
cle.
