- 2 x Bulbs

  • The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking vessels on the hob and the lowest part of the rangehood when the rangehood is located above a gas appliance, this distance shall be at least 65cm. If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this has to be taken into account.
  • Where installed above a gas cooktop, the rangehood must be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 5601 - Gas Installations and any other statutory regulations.

Installation Method

The rangehood is designed to be installed in either Extraction Method or Re-Circulating Method (Requires purchase of Carbon Filters sold separately).

Extraction Installation Method

  • The air is vented outdoors by a duct which must be connected to exhaust hole Ø120mm using the connecting ring (A).
  • The hood must not be connected to fuel exhaust flues or to a duct in which hot air is circulated, or is utilised to remove the fumes from appliances stocked by an energy different from the electric one.
  • The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.
  • For correct functioning, provide suitable ventilation of the room using doors, windows or other technical devices.

Re-circulation Installation Method

The Rangehood can only be installed in this method with the purchase of Carbon Filters that are sold as an optional accessory

  • When there is no exhaust duct for venting outdoors, you can use a carbon filter (D). The cooking fumes are filtered and then pushed back out again.
  • Filters are not washable; they cannot be regenerated and have to be replaced at most every 2 months.
  • The saturation of the activated charcoal depends on the frequency of use of the hood, on the type of cooking and on the regularity of cleaning the grease filter.
  • The carbon filter has to be fitted inside the hood. Push it into place until the stop click is heard to lock it.
  • Remove the grill (E) see figure 2 to carry out this operation.
  • The air is released in the room through a connecting pipe, which goes through the hanging cupboard and is connected to the connecting ring supplied (A) see figure 1.

To use the appliance in this method, proceed as follows:

- Open the grids (E)

- Insert the filter (D) with the knob (B).

Charcoal Filters (Optional Accessory)

The saturation of the activated charcoal occurs after more or less prolonged use: depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the grease filter.
  • In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least every four months. Clean frequently all the deposits on the fan and the other surfaces, utilising a cloth moistened by neutral and non abrasive liquid detergent.
