surround-soundeffectsofyourDolbyAtmos-enabledcontent.
InordertousetheSP-T22A-LR,youwillneedanA/Vreceiver
orsurround-soundprocessorequippedwithDolbyAtmos
processing.
WedesignedtheSP-T22A-LRtositatopthePioneer
SP-BS22-LRbookshelfspeakerandSP-FS52tower
speaker,butitcanalsobeusedwithanytoweror
bookshelfspeakerthathasaattop.Simplyplace
theSP-T22A-LRatopyourexistingspeakers,withthe
SP-T22A-LRpositionedsoitsdriverisangledinthe
samedirectionthespeakersarefacing.
YoucanstartbyusingoneSP-T22A-LRatopeachofyour
frontmain(leftandright)speakers.Toachieveamore
dramaticeffectfromDolbyAtmos,addanotherSP-T22A-LR
atopeachofyourrearsurroundspeakers.
CONNECTING YOUR SYSTEM
IMPORTANT:Makesureallequipmentisturnedoffbefore
makinganyconnections.Correctwiringofyourloudspeakers
isessentialforachievingthebestsoundquality.Becareful
toensureproperpolarity(+/-)ofconnection.Werecommend
aminimumof18gaugeforrunsupto25feet,andthickerfor
longerruns.
Mostloudspeakercableiscodedtoeasethistask.Typically
theribbedorstripedside,orthesidewiththeconnector
markedinredorwhite,isconnectedtothepositive(red)
terminal.Makesurethattheamplierpositive(red)terminal
isconnectedtotheloudspeakerpositive(red)terminal,and
thattheampliernegative(black)terminalisconnectedtothe
loudspeakernegative(black)terminal.
Ifthewiresyou’reusingarenotalreadyterminatedwithbanana
plugs,spadelugs,etc.,stripoff½”ofinsulationfromtheends
ofthecable,twistthebarestrandsandinsertintothebinding
posts.Takecarethatnostraystrandsofwireshortacross
betweentheterminals.
Connecttheotherspeakersinyour
surround-soundsystemasyou
normallywould.Thenconnect
theheight-channeloutputsof
yourDolbyAtmos-enabledA/V
receiver(orsurroundprocessor
andamplier)totheSP-T22A-LR.
Makesurethatyouconnectthe
leftandrightchannelsignals
fromthereceivertotheleftand
rightSP-T22A-LRs,respectively.
Repeattheprocessifyouare
usingSP-T22A-LRsfortherear
channelsaswell.

GUIDELINES FOR BEST ATMOS SETUP
InordertousetheDolbyAtmos-enabledcapabilityofthese
speakersthelisteningroomceilingshouldhaveahorizontal
athardsurface(foraudioreection)andaheightof8'to14'.
Ifyourroomdoesnotmeettheserequirementsstandardceil-
ingorin-ceilingspeakersarerequired.
ThemostimportantpartoftheAtmosspeakersetupismaking
surethatthetop-mountedheightdriverineachSP-T22A-LR
ispositionedatyourseatedearheightorhigher,butlower
thanhalftheheightoftheroom,asseenbelow.Youcan
easilyoptimizethepositionoftheSP-T22A-LRbychoosinga
speakerstandoftheappropriateheight.Themainfrontand
rearsurroundspeakersshouldbepositionedsothetweeters
areapproximatelyattheheightofyourearswhenyou’re

The safety of your ears is in your hands. Get the most out of your equipment by play-
ing it at a safe level - a level that lets the sound come through clearly without blaring or
distorting and, most importantly, without affecting your sensitive hearing. Sound can be
deceiving. Over time, your hearing “comfort level” adapts to higher volumes of sound,
so what sounds “normal” can actually be loud and harmful to your hearing. Guard
against this by setting your equipment at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts.
ESTABLISH A SAFE LEVEL:
• Set your volume control at a low setting.
• Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly,
without distortion.
• Once you have established a comfortable sound level, set the dial and leave it there.

utilizándolo con un volumen seguro, un nivel de volumen que permita escuchar el
sonido con claridad sin distorsión ensordecedora y, lo que es más importante, sin que
le afecte la sensibilidad de su audición. El sonido puede ser engañoso. Con el tiempo,
su "nivel cómo" de audición se adapta a niveles de sonido más elevados, por con-
siguiente, lo que parece "normal" puede ser en realidad muy fuerte y perjudicial para el
