3. Safety Instructions

• Use the iron only for its intended purpose as described in this manual.
• Always plug the cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
• Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
• Always use the Iron Lock to secure the iron to the base unit when carrying or not in immediate use.
• Place the base unit on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Keep the iron and its cord away from hot surfaces. Do not place the cord under the iron.
• Do not use the iron if it has been dropped, shows visible damage, or is leaking.
• Never direct steam towards people, animals, or electrical equipment.
• Unplug the unit from the outlet before filling with water, emptying, cleaning, or when not in use.
• Allow the iron to cool completely before storing.
• The iron is hot during and after use. Avoid contact with heated surfaces.

4. Initial Setup & Use Guide

Before First Use:

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Inspect the appliance for any transit damage.
3. Wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth to remove any residual manufacturing oils.

Filling the Water Tank:

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
2. Press the release button (if present) and lift the water tank away from the base unit.
3. Fill the tank with clean, cool tap water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
   Note: Do not use distilled water, chemically descaled water, perfumed water, or water from clothes dryers, refrigerators, or air conditioners unless specified by the manufacturer.
4. Securely reattach the filled tank to the base unit.

Operating the Steam Iron:

1. Connect Power: Place the base unit on a stable surface. Plug the power cord into a 120V outlet.
2. Power On: The unit will begin heating. An indicator light may illuminate.
3. Select Temperature: Turn the temperature dial on the iron to the setting appropriate for your fabric.
   • Low (•): Synthetics, Silk
   • Medium (••): Wool
   • High (•••): Cotton, Linen
4. Wait to Heat: Allow the iron to reach the selected temperature (approximately 1 minute).
5. Begin Ironing:
   • For Dry Ironing, simply glide the hot soleplate over the fabric.
   • For Steam Ironing, press and hold the steam trigger/button on the iron handle to release a burst of steam as you iron.
   • For continuous steam, ensure the temperature is set high enough for steam production and hold the steam trigger.
6. Vertical Steaming: You can use the iron to steam garments hanging on a hanger. Hold the iron close to, but not touching, the fabric and press the steam trigger.

After Use:

1. Release the steam trigger and place the iron back on its base.
2. Engage the Iron Lock to secure it to the base.
3. Turn the temperature dial to the minimum or "OFF" position.
4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5. Allow the unit to cool completely.
6. Empty any remaining water from the tank if you do not plan to use the iron again soon.

5. Care, Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular Cleaning:

• Wipe the exterior of the base unit and iron with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Clean the ceramic soleplate with a non-abrasive damp cloth or a recommended soleplate cleaner while it is cool.

Descaling (Anti-Calc System):

The built-in anti-calc system helps reduce limescale buildup. However, regular descaling is recommended if you live in a hard water area or notice reduced steam performance.

1. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool.
2. Fill the water tank with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% water.
3. Plug in the unit, turn it on, and allow it to heat fully.
4. Hold the iron over a sink or basin and press the steam trigger repeatedly to expel the vinegar solution and loosened scale through the soleplate.
5. Repeat the process with clean water only to rinse the system thoroughly.
6. Empty any remaining liquid from the tank.

Anti-Drip System:

This feature helps prevent water from leaking from the soleplate when the iron is too cool for steam. Ensure you are using the correct high-temperature setting when using steam to activate this protection.

Storage:

Always store the unit with the water tank empty. Ensure the iron is locked onto the base, the cord is loosely coiled, and the unit is stored in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
