Use Guide

Before First Use

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash the inner pot, steamer basket, measuring cup, and spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. These parts are dishwasher safe.
  3. Wipe the exterior and interior of the main housing with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  4. Place the inner pot into the cooker.

Basic Cooking Instructions (e.g., White Rice)

  1. Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided cup. One cup uncooked rice typically yields approximately two cups cooked.
  2. Rinse the rice in a separate bowl until the water runs clear.
  3. Add the rinsed rice and the corresponding amount of water to the inner pot. Refer to the water level markings inside the pot or standard rice-to-water ratios.
  4. Close the lid securely.
  5. Plug the power cord into a 120V outlet.
  6. Press the White Rice program button. The LED display will show the estimated cooking time.
  7. Press the Start button. The cooking cycle will begin.
  8. When cooking is complete, the unit will beep and automatically switch to Keep Warm mode. The Keep Warm indicator will light up.
  9. Use the cool-touch handle to open the lid. Fluff the rice with the provided spatula before serving.
  10. Unplug the unit when finished.

Using the Delay Timer

  1. Add food and liquid to the inner pot and close the lid.
  2. Select your desired cooking program (e.g., Brown Rice, Oatmeal).
  3. Press the Timer button. Use the "+" or "-" buttons (or similar controls) to set the number of hours until you want cooking to begin.
  4. Press Start. The display will show the countdown until cooking starts. Cooking will begin automatically after the set delay.

Using the Steamer Basket

  1. Add water to the inner pot, ensuring the water level is below the bottom of the steamer basket.
  2. Place the steamer basket into the inner pot.
  3. Arrange food to be steamed (vegetables, dumplings, fish) in the basket.
  4. Close the lid.
  5. Select the Steam program and adjust the time if necessary. Press Start.

Other Functions

The process for other functions (Slow Cook, Sauté, Soup, Cake, Jam) follows a similar pattern:

  1. Prepare ingredients as directed by your recipe.
  2. Add them to the inner pot.
  3. Select the corresponding program button.
  4. For some programs (like Slow Cook), you may need to set a cooking duration.
  5. Press Start.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Main Housing & Lid: Wipe the exterior and the inside of the lid with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Inner Pot, Steamer Basket, Measuring Cup, Spatula: These are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use mild dish soap and a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid using metal utensils on the non-stick inner pot to prevent scratching.
  • Never immerse the main cooker body, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Ensure the steam vent on the lid is clear of food debris.

Troubleshooting

  • Unit does not turn on: Check that the power cord is securely plugged into a working 120V outlet.
  • Food is undercooked or overcooked: Ensure you are using the correct program for the food type. Verify the amount of liquid used. For grains, use the provided measuring cup and follow recommended water ratios.
  • Steam is escaping from the sides: Ensure the lid is closed completely and securely.
  • Keep Warm function does not activate: The unit automatically switches to keep warm after cooking. If it does not, the cycle may have been interrupted or canceled.
  • Error message or unusual display: Unplug the unit, wait for 10 minutes, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, discontinue use.
