4.1 Powering the Radio

Option A: Using AC Power (Indoor Use)

1. Plug the included AC power cord into the DC power jack on the side of the radio.
2. Plug the other end into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.

Option B: Using Batteries (Portable Use)

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
2. Insert 2 x D-cell batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) markings inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.

4.2 Basic Operation

1. Turn On: Rotate the left knob (Power/Volume) clockwise. You will hear a click and may hear static.
2. Extend Antenna: Fully extend the telescopic antenna for best reception.

5.1 Optimizing Reception
