#1 Does this oven get very hot to the touch on the outside while it is cooking?

Definitely, but every inexpensive toaster oven I've ever had does too. Most of them get 'melting plastic' hot, depending on what temperature you are using.

#2 Why does this burn everything? Tried moving the rack, lowering temp, different setting (convection, pizza, warm). Absolutely ruins everything I cook!

From what I have learned is you cannot use normal oven or convection oven instructions because the toaster oven reaches temp faster so there is a reduction in cook time on the toaster oven. But I have not attempted to cook anything large.

#3 How well does work for toast?

Excellent. It's toasts very quickly so you must keep an eye on it.

#4 Does it get hot on the outside?

Yes, the sides, top and door get hot. I think all toaster ovens get hot, at least the one I owned did. I can recommend this for toast or anything else. I use it daily for toast, then set it to convection oven for dinner. Left over steak and prime rib cook wonderfully on convection, and even stay medium rare. I use it everyday. You just have to know what setting to use. It's pretty simple.

#5 Does it have an inside light?

No, but the door is so clear you can eaisly see inside.

#6 Is the inside coated with a non-stick coating? I'm looking for an oven that has no coating on the inside.

No, there is no non-stick coating inside

#7 Two heating elements top and bottom or only one?

The oven has 2 heating elements on the top and 2 heating elements on the bottom.
