#1 why does it have a light button?

This toaster oven does not have an interior light or a light button. There is an indicator light on the front of the toaster oven which will illuminate when the toaster oven is in use.

#2 How do I know when the baking feature reaches the needed temperature?

This toaster oven does not give a signal when the temperature has been reached. We recommend preheating for about 5-7 minutes at the desired temperature.

#3 How low can you set the temperature? Can you use this for food drying?

The lowest temperature of the oven is 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks!

#4 Is the handle on the door metal or plastic?

The cool-touch handle is stainless steel.

#5 We just purchased this oven and have used it twice for toast. Have noticed that the sides, back & top of the oven get very hot. Is that Normal?

Yes it is normal, all of our toaster ovens get hot when in use.
