#1 Is control Panel easy to read standing?

Yes very easy to read, that's way we purchased this one. It's been 5years and still love it.

#2 Is this a free standing unit or does it have to be built in to a cabinet?

It is meant to be installed into a cabinet opening. Not freestanding.

#3 Is this microwave stainless steel? The picture makes it look like it has a bronze or gold tint to it.

This is a bad picture. It is indeed Stainless Steel and silver in color. Not bronze or gold. We have had the microwave 3 months and love it.

#4 Are there trim kits available for this microwave

There are trim kits at local hardware stores. Super easy to do.

#5 This Sharp microwave just died on us, Curious what other microwaves can fit in my cabinet hole so we do t have to purchase another Sharp?

You will have to measure your opening then find on other one that will fit.

#6 Can this be placed into a built-in style slot?

I believe so but I can’t say with certainty. I’d suggest visiting the sharp website.

#7 Do you need a trim kit to complete the built in look?

No you do not. If the cabinet opening is the recommended size it is perfect. Best purchase ever!

#8 Is this Sharp microwave in one piece or does the control panel have to be installed separately?

One piece. Installing was very easy.

#9 Why is this microwave almost a thousand dollars?

It’s a great unit! It works great in an island and few manufacturers make this type of drawer unit.
