How to Use the Grinder
1. Before first use, clean the Coffee Grinder. See Care
and cleaning section.
2. With Coffee Grinder unplugged, remove cover by
lifting straight up. Place up to 9 tablespoons (135
ml) of coffee beans or specified amount of whole
spices (see Spice grinding chart) in the Removable
Grinding Chamber.
NOTE: Overfilling can cause unit to overheat and
malfunction.
3. Replace Cover. Hold unit and pull away Cord
Storage Cover. Unwind Cord to desired length.
Secure Cord in notch and push Cord Storage
Cover closed. Plug into outlet.
4. Press ON button. Grind 10 to 20 seconds,
depending on amount and desired grind. Use
coarse grind for percolators and medium to fine for
drip coffeemakers.

NOTE: The Coffee Grinder will only operate with
Cover in place and ON button pressed.

COFFEE USE
4 cups (1 L) of coffee 3 Tbsp (45 ml) ground coffee
8 cups (2 L) of coffee 6 Tbsp (90 ml) ground coffee
12 cups (3 L) of coffee 9 Tbsp (135 ml) ground coffee

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions

2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely

hot surfaces, including the stove.
12. Check hopper (bowl) for presence of foreign objects before
using.
13. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.

Do not use appliance for other than intended purpose.
15. Do not remove cover until blade has completely stopped
rotating.
16. Check that the appliance is OFF ( ) before plugging cord
into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF ( );
then remove plug from wall outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug
and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.

supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer,

commande à et mettre à OFF ( /arrêt) puis débrancher la
fiche de la prise de courant. Pour débrancher, saisir la fiche et
la retirer de la prise. Ne pas tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation.

Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance has
a polarized plug (one wide blade) that reduces the risk of electric
shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not
defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any
way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to
reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a
longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension
cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord
must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care
must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not
drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or accidentally tripped over.

Press ON button for 10–20 seconds at a time until
spices are ground to desired coarseness.
Tips for Best Results
• For best flavor, store coffee beans in a dark, airtight
container.
• Grind beans immediately before brewing.
• Coffee flavor and strength is a personal preference.
Vary the type of coffee beans, amount of coffee,
and fineness of grind to find the flavor you prefer.
• Grinder should be cleaned between coffee and spice
grinding to help prevent taste and odor transfer.
• Grinder is intended for use with dried ingredients and
is not recommended for use with fresh herbs or nuts.
Care and Cleaning
w WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard.
• Unplug unit before cleaning.
• Do not immerse base, plug, or Cord in water or
other liquid.
• Failure to follow these instructions can result in
death or electrical shock.
1. Unplug from outlet before cleaning.
2. To remove Grinding Chamber, twist and pull up
and out of Base.
3. Carefully wipe blades and cover with soft, damp
cloth. Be careful cleaning around sharp blades.
Cover and Grinding Chamber are also dishwasher-
safe.
NOTE: If water becomes trapped in Grinding
Chamber, turn upside down and allow to drain.
4. Wipe the Base with a damp cloth.
5. Open Cord storage by pulling Cord Storage Cover
away from the unit. Wrap Cord around center post.
Secure Cord in notch. Close the hide-away Cord
Storage Cover. See Parts and features section.
Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and
Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of
any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of original
purchase in Canada and one (1) year from the date of original purchase in
the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement
of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option;
however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning
the product to us and our returning a product or component under this
warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we

This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use

Utilisation du moulin à café
1.
Nettoyer le moulin à café avant le premier usage.
Consulter la section du Entretien et nettoyage.
2.
Débrancher le moulin à café; retirer le couvercle
directement en le soulevant vers le haut. Verser
jusqu’à 9 cuillères à soupe (135 ml) de graines de
café ou une quantité déterminée de grains d’épices
(consulter la Tableau d’épices moulu) dans le
compartiment de broyage amovible.
REMARQUE : Le remplissage excessif peut causer
la surchauffe ou un défaut de fonctionnement de
l’appareil.

Remettre le couvercle en place. Tenir l’appareil et
retirer le couvercle de rangement du cordon. Dérouler
le cordon jusqu’à la longueur désirée. Fixer le cordon
dans l’encoche et refermer le couvercle de rangement.
Brancher la fiche dans la prise.
4.
Appuyer sur le bouton de MISE EN MARCHE. Broyer
pendant 10 à 20 secondes, selon la quantité et la
mouture désirée. Utiliser une mouture grossière pour
les percolateurs et une mouture moyenne à fine pour
les cafetières goutte-à-goutte.
5.
Pour le broyage des épices, consulter la Tableau
d’épices moulu.
REMARQUE : Le moulin à café fonctionne quand
le couvercle est bien en place et quand on appuie
sur le bouton de
MISE EN MARCHE.
