Automatic timer
With this function you may select a cook time for all
elements. Once an element is turned on, the selected
time will begin to count down. The element will
automatically turn off when the cook time has elapsed.
Instructions on activating the automatic timer are found in
the chapter "Basic settings".
Note: The cook time can be changed or cancelled for
any element:
Touch the Timer key several times until the x indicator
of the desired element lights up. Adjust the cook time
with the
@ or A key, or deactivate it by setting the the
timer value to
‹.
The timer
The timer can be set for periods of up to 99 minutes. It is
independent of the other settings. This function does not
automatically switch off an element.
Setting the timer
1.
Touch the Timer key until the U indicator lights up.
‹‹ appears on the timer display.
2.
Touch the @ or A key from the timer menu. The basic
settings are displayed.
@ touch key = 10 minutes
A touch key = 05 minutes
3.
Program the desired time using the @ or A touch key.
The timer start to count down after a few seconds.
Once the time has elapsed
A beep sounds. ‹‹ and U indicators light up. Touch the
Timer key. The indicators go out and the beep stops.

Touch the Timer key until the U indicator lights up and
adjust the time using the @ or A touch key.

Touch the Timer key until the U indicator lights up. Then
touch the A key until ‹‹ appears on the timer display.
The U indicator goes out.
Notes
▯ If the set time is not displayed, touch the Timer key
several times until the U indicator lights up on the
timer display.
▯ The timer will be deactivated after a power outage.
▯ The automatic off function for an element and the timer
function can both be operated simultaneously.
Child lock
You can use the child lock to prevent children from
accidentally turning the cooktop on.
Turning the child lock on
The cooktop must be turned off.
Touch Child Lock until a beep sounds and
the
@ indicator lights up. The cooktop is now locked.
After some time, the @ indicator will go out.
Turning the child lock off
Touch Child Lock until a beep sounds and
the @ indicator turns off. The child lock is now
deactivated. The cooktop can be switched on.
9 CAUTION
The child lock may be accidentally turned on and off
due to:
▯ water spilled during cleaning
▯ food that has overflowed
▯ objects being placed on the Child Lock touch
key.
Automatic child lock
With this function, the child lock is automatically activated
whenever you switch off the cooktop.

Automatic time limitation
If the element is used for prolonged periods of time
without changes in the settings being made, the
automatic time limitation function is triggered.
The element stops heating. ”‰ and the residual heat
indicator •/œ flash alternately in the display.
The indicator goes out when any symbol is pressed. The
element can now be reset.
When the automatic time limitation is activated depends
on the selected heat level (from 1 to 10 hours).
