Locating the unit.

  • Install the portable air conditioner in a flat location with adequate space to ensure the air inlets and outlets will not be blocked.

  • Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the exhaust pipe.
  • The optional adjustable window slider is included to ensure the exhaust pipe is held in place (in the window) and prevents expelled hot air re-entering the room.
  • The appliance should not be used in damp areas such as a laundry or bathroom.

Dimplex DC10RC Questions and Answers

Is this an actual aircon or an evaporative system?
This particular unit is listed as a portable air-conditioner however it does come equipped with a "Self-Evaporative system" meaning that no hose or drip tray is required. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our customer service team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is the noise level?
Unfortunately this is not a specification that has been tested by the manufacturer.

What does the unit and packaging weigh? I am considering purchase but would need to fly it to where it would be used.
The unit itself is 28kg but unfortunately we don't have access to the packaging weight. We could assume the total weight would be under 30kg. A reminder also that warranty for this products is only valid in AU / NZ.

Too use the cooling function do you have to attach/use a window connection hose/duct? Or does it operate free-standing so you can you keep your windows closed?
While this aircon does use a self-evaporative system, which means it doesn’t require a drip tray or drain hose, it does require its exhaust hose to be attached to a nearby window. A window kit is included to fit both sash and sliding windows.
