For child restraint systems with a tether strap,
there are three additional attachment points,
refer to arrows. To gain access to this anchor
fitting, lift the plastic plug with the aid of a
screwdriver.
Routing of tether strap
1 Direction of travel
2 Head restraint
3 Upper tensioning strap
4 Hook of the upper tensioning strap
5 Cargo area floor
6 Attachment point
7 Backrest
Outer seats:
1. Slide head restraints upward.
2. Rout upper tensioning strap between the
supports of the head restraint.
3. Attach the hook of the tensioning strap to
the attachment point.
4. Slide head restraint into the lowest position.
5. Tighten tensioning strap snugly.
Middle seat:
1. Fold center armrest slightly forward.
2. Guide upper tensioning strap through the
opening.
3. Fold center armrest back.
4. Hook upper tensioning strap to the attach-
ment point.
When using the cargo area cover:
Upper tensioning strap must run between the
rear backrest and the cargo area cover.
LATCH child restraint fixing system
LATCH: Lower Anchor and Tethers for CHil-
dren.
