GE - General Electric WSLP1500H0WW Questions and Answers

#1 ThreeStrikesImOut followup. WSLP1500H2WW is a portable washer which requires a hose different than reply recommendations (PM14X10002 and PM14X10005). Unfortunately, moving the machine outside apartment after disconnecting hose to drain is not an option.

The hoses we provided in the previous answer are compatible with this washer if you have separate faucets for hot and cold water. If you are connecting and draining into a kitchen sink, you can find instructions for disconnecting the hose on page 20 of the Use and Care Manual at the link below. You will however need to make sure you have released the water pressure, then disconnect the hose and immediately hold it above the sink to drain it out. It will also help if you are not disconnecting directly after running the unit, we recommend waiting at least 30 minutes after running the wash cycle.

#2 Can you clarify the differences in "Soak Cycle" as selected in Cycles or Process? From the wording, it seems like it fills the basket, waits, then drains - which is not a classic pre-soak with detergent which would remain for the wash cycle. Thanks.

If soak only is selected - Select to set a soak cycle only. Washer basket will fill, soak and drain. However, there are a few cycles that have soak included and it works differently as it will soak then move to the remaining setting. Keep in touch!

#3 1. In one of the answers i saw about that the normal cycle time, is 13 minutes maximum. My machine does 42-48 minutes. Is that ok? 2. Can I start deep fill while the machine is already washing? 3. How can i set up the "my cycle" option?

Normal cycle can vary from 37 to 51 minutes, depending on load size.

There are two ways Deep Fill can be used:

Add a little more water: Press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add 3 gallons of water to the wash load. Once the washer has stopped filling, you can press it again to add 3 more gallons.
Full Tub Fill: Press and hold Deep Fill button for 3 seconds to fill the washer to the maximum water level (approximately 20 gallons).
To save a favorite cycle, set Cycles to My Cycle and select the desired Process, Options and
Water Temp settings. Press the Start button. The washer will automatically save the setting
and start. To change the My Cycle, re-save following the above process. To use My Cycle, set Cycles to My Cycle and press the Start button

#4 How do I prevent the washer from tightly twisting my bed sheets into a long rope? I place them loosely around the edges of the tub to start but by end of cycle they are tightly twisted. What am I doing wrong?

After the washer fills and runs for a few minutes, pause the cycle and gently punch/push out the air bubbles with an empty, plastic bottle or use your hands if the water isn't too hot. You sometimes have to repeat this during the rinse cycles. Washing a sheet with a couple of towels does help too. I never wash a fitted and a flat sheet together--you just end up wrestling with them to untangle them throughout the wash and rinse cycles. I add the pillow cases around the edge of the tub since they are smaller. So 1 sheet, 2-4 pillow cases and a couple of bath towels tops.
