GE - General Electric DSF25KGTABG Questions and Answers

#1 For the past week, our fridge/freezer is no longer staying cool - we can only get the freezer down to 24 degrees and the fridge was a 52 degrees this morning. Is there something I can do to get it to cool down again or is my only option a service call?

First, please turn the main power source off to the refrigerator for a couple of minutes and then restore power. This may reset the electronic controls. Next, check to verify that the temperature controls are set properly. Also, please check that the door seals are sealing properly and that a package is not preventing the freezer door from obtaining a good seal. If your refrigerator is less than three-fourths full of food, we recommend placing gallon jugs of water in it to take up the empty space. In the freezer, the jugs should not be filled up completely.

#2 How do you tighten the door handles?
The handles on my door are starting to wiggle back and forth. I see a hold on the inside at the top, but not sure if that is the screw to tighten the handle or not. If that is the hole I'm not sure how you're supposed to fit a screen driver in there.

Your refrigerator’s handles actually have a cap at the top of the handle. If you pry the cap off, there’s a bolt that you can then tighten. Then you just pop the cap back into place. If you look closely, you should be able to see the outline of the cap so you’ll know where to pop it off. I hope this helps!
