With the help of the following guide, minor faults in the performance of the appliance,
some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be corrected without contacting
the Service Department.
Repairs must only be carried out by a Miele technician or a Miele-authorized service
agent in accordance with local and national safety regulations. Unauthorized or incorrect
repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous.
Faults with water intake or drainage
Problem Possible cause and solution
The display remains dark
and the "Start/Stop" light
does not flash after the
dishwasher was turned on
using the button.
The dishwasher is not plugged in.
Insert the plug.
The circuit breaker was tripped.
Activate the fuse
(see data plate for minimum fuse rating).
The dishwasher stops
during a program.
The circuit breaker has tripped.
Reset the circuit breaker (see data plate for the correct
fuse rating).
If the circuit breaker trips again, contact Miele Customer
Service.
Power outage during
operation
If a temporary power outage occurs during a program
sequence, no measures are required.
The program which was running continues without
interruption.
If the temperature in the wash chamber drops below the
minimum value required for the program block during the
power outage, the program block is repeated.
In case of a power outage of 20hours, the entire
program is repeated.
One of the following fault
messages is displayed:
Before remedying the fault:
Turn the dishwasher off using the button.
Check water intake There is a problem with the water intake.
Open the faucet all the way.
Clean the filter in the water inlet (see "Cleaning and
care").
Fault 403-405 If Check water intake has appeared in the display, the
controls will check the water intake every 30seconds. If no
water has entered the dishwasher after three attempts, one
of these fault numbers appears in the display and the
program will be canceled.
Open the water supply valve all the way.
Turn the dishwasher back on.
Select the desired program.
Press the Start/Stop button.
