Braun 5190CC Questions and Answers

#1 Does this come with a sideburn trimmer?

Yes. But caution: My older Braun's sideburn trimmer seamed a
bit wider, and not curved as this new 5090 does. We are
splitting hairs here (pun intended), but you should know it is
incrementally smaller.

#2 Does this model just drop-in to the cleaner (i.e. there's no hook
that snaps into the back of the razor)?

This just drops into the cleaner as long as the shaver head is in
the free swinging mode. no snaps or hooks.

#3 Does it come with a cleaning cartridge or do I have to purchase
seperatly?

I presume you are considering ordering the Braun razor with
the cleaning/charging stand. I order my razor that way and it
came with a container of the cleaning solution in its cartridge.

#4 How often do you change the cleaning cartridges?

I clean my shaver only once a week and it never requires more
than the minimum clean. The cartridge is good for at least 8
weeks, but the current one has been going for ten. If you can
still smell the alcohol solvent, it is good.

#5 Does it lock for travel use?

I'm not sure that I understand the question. The head can lock
in place or it can move with the contours of your face. It also
comes with a case which zips up that is pretty sturdy.

#6 Can you charge battery without running the cleaning process?

Yes. Place the razor in the charging base, but don't press the
button.
