This Clipper Has Been Designed For Household Use Only
OIL
The blades of your new clipper should be oiled every
few haircuts. Place a few drops of Wahl Clipper Oil
on the teeth of the blades as well as at the back of the
blade. Use only the Wahl Clipper Oil included in the
pack. Do not use hair oil, grease or any oil mixed with
kerosene or any solvent.
POWER SCREW
Your clipper has a power screw and it has been adjusted
for peak efficiency before leaving the factory. However, if voltage
in your home is low, you may need to readjust it. To adjust
power, turn your clipper “On”. Use the end of the cleaning
brush or a screwdriver to turn power screw in a clockwise
direction until you hear a noise. Then, slowly turn power screw
in a counterclockwise direction, just until noise stops. This is
the maximum power setting.
CORD
The cord should not be used to pull the clipper. Since freedom of movement needs to be
maintained, care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and unobstructed.
If your clipper has a polarized plug: To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance
has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug fits in a polarized outlet
only one way. In the event the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. Do not
change the plug in any way.
TAPER LEVER
(NOT INCLUDED ON ALL CLIPPER MODELS)
The taper lever adds versatility to your clipper by allowing you to
gradually change the closeness of your cut. (Up position = closest
cut; Down position = longest cut) Should the blades become jammed
with hair, move the taper lever up and down several times. This will
help free up the blades.

ALIGNING CLIPPER BLADES
Your Wahl clipper blades were oiled and aligned before leaving our factory. Blades may
need to be realigned if they have been bumped or removed for cleaning. To determine if
realignment is necessary, compare your clipper blades with this sketch.
1. If your clipper has a taper lever, position the lever in the close cut position.
2. End of top blade teeth should be approximately 1/32-inch (.64 mm) back from bottom blade.
3. Extreme left-hand tooth of top blade must be covering or to the left of the first small tooth
of bottom blade.
4. Extreme right-hand tooth of top blade must be touching the big tooth on the bottom blade.
If blade alignment is incorrect, add a few drops of Wahl Clipper Oil to the blades, turn clipper
“ON” for a few moments, turn “OFF” and unplug. Loosen screws slightly and adjust. Tighten
screws after blades are aligned. Other than blades, this clipper has no user-serviceable parts.

• Start by attaching the largest guide comb on the
clipper.
• Then use shorter combs if a shorter length is desired.
• For uniform cutting, cut at a slow even speed.

To remove more bulk from behind the ears, use the left ear tapered guide
comb. Start behind the ear and arch the clippers around the ear for a clean
line, repeating the steps on the right side using the right ear tapered guide
comb.
When you want to blend from one section to the next, you will need to practice
moving the clipper in an upward rocking motion. This motion will leave the hair
slightly longer where the clipper pulls away from the scalp, enabling you to blend
between the sections and achieve a smooth transition from one length of hair to the
next. This technique will enhance the appearance of your haircuts.
Then clean up your sideburns, neckline and around the ears.
1. Comb hair and remove
tangles. Attach the largest guide

the taper lever is in the up

head and cut up to middle of

Cortadora Wahl a las cuchillas, préndala durante un
momento, apáguela y desconéctela. Afloje un poco los
tornillos y ajústela. Apriete los tornillos después de alinear
las cuchillas. Aparte de las cuchillas, esta cortadora no
tiene ninguna otra pieza reparable por el usuario.
ACEITE
Hay que aceitar las cuchillas de la nueva cortadora cada
varios cortes de cabello. Póngale unas cuantas gotas de
Aceite para Cortadora Wahl a los dientes de las cuchillas. Use
solamente el Aceite para Cortadora Wahl que se incluye en el
paquete. No use aceite para el cabello, grasa, ni ningún otro aceite
mezclado con queroseno o disolventes.
TORNILLO DE POTENCIA
La cortadora tiene un tornillo de potencia que fue ajustado para
maximizar la eficiencia antes de salir de la fábrica. Sin embargo, si
el voltaje de su casa es bajo, tal vez lo tenga que reajustar. Para ajustar la potencia,
prenda la cortadora. Use la punta del cepillo limpiador o un destornillador para
voltear el tornillo de potencia hacia la derecha, hasta que escuche un ruido. Luego,
voltee lentamente el tornillo de potencia hacia la izquierda, justamente hasta que
desaparezca el ruido. Ese es el ajuste de
máxima potencia.
CABLE
El cable no se debe usar para halar la cortadora. Ya que hay que mantener
la libertad de movimiento, hay que mantener el cable desenredado y sin
obstrucciones.
Si la cortadora tiene un enchufe polarizado: Este dispositivo tiene un
enchufe polarizado, para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico (una
cuchilla es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe solamente entra de
una manera en un tomacorriente polarizado. En caso de que el enchufe
no encaje completamente en el tomacorriente, inviértalo. No cambie el
enchufe de ninguna manera.
PALANCA DE SESGO

fábrica. Tal vez haya que volver a alinear las cuchillas si fueron golpeadas o las quitaron para
limpiarlas. Para determinar si el realineamiento es necesario, compare las cuchillas de la
cortadora con esta ilustración.
1. Si la cortadora tiene una palanca de sesgo, ponga la palanca en la posición de corte corto.

Cuando quiera combinar una sección con la otra, debe practicar moviendo la
recortadora en un movimiento ascendente y ondulante. Ese movimiento dejará el
pelo ligeramente más largo donde la recortadora se separa del cuero cabelludo,
permitiéndole combinar las secciones con buena transición de una longitud de pelo
a la otra. Dicha técnica mejorará el aspecto de los cortes de pelo.

1. Combine toda línea de
corte. Las líneas se forman
al cambiar el tamaño de los

la palanca de sesgo en la
posición de abajo.

1.Este estilo te va a
dejar prácticamente
calvo en la parte de
abajo de la cabeza, y
poco a poco el pelo
se va notar a medida
que subes al tope de
la cabeza. Remueve
el exceso de pelo
antes de comenzar
el recorte de tipo
calvo desvaído.
2. Comience en la parte
lateral de la cabeza y
continúe recortando
alrededor de la cabeza
para establecer el lugar
para la línea del recorte
de tipo fade o desvaído.
Para un recorte más
corto asegúrese de
recortar en contra del
hilo del pelo.
3. Otra vez recorte
alrededor de la
cabeza y desde la
nuca del cuello
hasta la línea del
recorte desvaído,
removiendo el pelo
a medida que vayas
recortando.
4. Para obtener un recorte
bien corto con su dedo
pulgar estire la piel
