Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool completely
prior to cleaning.
Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water. Do not allow moisture to
come in contact with the power cord or power base.
Never use chemicals or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside. Do not use steel wool
or sharp objects to clean the outside as this may damage the outside of the kettle.
1. Wipe the outside of the kettle body with a damp cloth or mild cleaning solution.
NEVER USE HARSH CHEMICALS OR CLEANERS. If using a cleaner to wipe the
outside of the kettle, wipe it off with a water dampened cloth.
2. It is important to clean the lter located in the spout periodically. The lter catches lime
and mineral debris and can become clogged. The lter is easily removed from the
kettle spout by sliding it up towards the opening of the spout.
3. Due to the gradual build up of calcium, lime and mineral deposits in your kettle, it is
important to clean the interior of the kettle periodically.
To clean the interior, a kettle descaling agent can be used. Carefully follow the instruc-
tions on the package of the descaler.
The interior of the kettle can also be cleaned using white vinegar. Fill the kettle with
1 cup of white vinegar and 1-2 cups of water. Bring the kettle to a boil and let it sit for
several hours. Discard the vinegar water mixture. Add clean tap water to the kettle and
boil. This may need to be repeated until no trace of vinegar remains.
