Important Safety Information
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock and personal injury.
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces or hot water. Use handles only as care
must be taken since burns can occur from touching hot parts or from
spilled hot water.
3. To protect against re, electric shock and personal injury, do not
immerse the cord, plug, power base or electric kettle in water or near
any other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
5. Unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow the unit to cool completely before handling any parts or before
cleaning the unit.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after
the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner.

ufacturer as it may result in a re, electric shock or personal injury.
8. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces, including the stove.
10. Do not place an electric kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner
or in a heated oven.
11. To disconnect the electric appliance, turn all controls to the OFF (O)
position and then remove the plug from the wall outlet. Never pull on
the cord as this may damage the cord and eventually cause electric
shock.
12. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use
(i.e. to boil water).
