#1 Does this have an opitical audio hookup?

Yes it does have an optical audio hookup.

#2 Can I install it on the wall?

Yes , the soundbar comes with wall brackets. The sub woofer does not.

#3 How do I get it to turn on with my remote, their both lg?

The TV speaker has to be turned off and the speaker input changed to turn these on should be under the settings menu

#4 There is no visual indicator for sound level on the screen. Is this normal behavior or a setting I can adjust?

You are correct, no on screen indicators.

#5 is it Bluetooth?

Yes, but it was defective and I returned it. Bought a Yamaha and it's much better.

#6 Can i use hdmi to plug into my tv?

There is no HDMI on this soundbar
