To search for streaming apps, please visit amazon.com > Menu ≡ > under Digital Content & Devices select Fire TV > under Movie, TV & Games select Fire TV Apps & Channels > type the name of the app on the search bar at the top and click the Magnifying Glass icon to start searching > when you get the results, on the left side under Device Type select Fire TV Edition.

tv shifts to HDM2 but the screen is dark
when I shift to hdm2 my screen is dark this has happened after shifting has worked to give me a picture
When I turn on the tv, which is brand new, the logo comes up and then the screen goes blank and the tv makes a recurring sound every ten seconds. No picture comes up

While watching TV press the menu button ( ≡ ) and select Captions and Audio. To adjust the Closed Caption settings, go to: Settings > Accessibility > Closed Caption.

It does have the built-in digital tuner. Also, the guide for the tuner is on the main "page" of the TV. In other words, you just scroll down to "on now" and there are the digital tuner channels. No switching inputs.
I want to read the owners manual on line. When I click on the appropriate box, it goes back to download? Why does it do this? Thank you...John

the tv 's sound suddenly shut down while watching tube. nothing on any apps
Mine does this. I just unplug the tv for 30 seconds and plug back in. It should reset itself. I hope this helps
