  • What do you use to clean the oven in a NON self cleaning oven?

To clean a non self-cleaning oven:

    1. Remove any loose debris from the oven interior. Use a damp cloth or soft cloth to wipe out any large food debris from the oven floor.
    2. Make a cleaning paste by mixing baking soda and water. Apply the paste to the oven walls, floor, and racks, avoiding the heating elements. Close the oven door and let the paste sit for 8-12 hours or overnight. This will allow the baking soda to break down tough grime and stains.
    3. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge to wipe down the oven surfaces, working from top to bottom. Focus on one area at a time, as this will help prevent any streaks or residue from spreading.
    4. Once the oven is thoroughly cleaned, remove any remaining paste or cleaning solution with a damp cloth. Dry the oven completely before using.
