    I need to replace thermocouple on richmond essential gas water heater model 6G40-36F3, serial# Q071707624. It's around 8yrs old. I need to make sure I get the correct thermocouple replacement. Please advise. Thank you

  • The gas control valve # is on the side of it. Mine is AP15255D which is no longer being made because of problems with it. The new replacement is SP20303D also was told SP20303DT. Nothing like buying a product made by Rheem and getting reamed.

  • How do you get into the chamber to change the thermocoupler? It seems sealed & I don't want to break anything

  • My water heater will stay lit for a moment then turn off. We bought it 6 months ago.

  • I'm having the same issue. I'm assuming it's the thermocouple. I'd like to change it. I have everything, including the 3 lines disconnected. Now I can't seem to get into the chamber. It seems sealed. I'm afraid to break something if I force it open. Have you gotten yours fixed?
