We cannot set the temp on our refrigerator (GWE19JGLWW). We set it, but it fluctuates wildly and freezes lettuce, milk, etc. We try to set to 39 or 40 degrees, but when we open the unit an hour later, temp is down to 34. Then an hour later, the temp is at 41. We have been on shore power continuously for up to six weeks, so surely the temp would have stabilized... How do we reset to factory settings? Refrigerator is still under warranty.
We suggest unplugging the refrigerator for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls. If after these tips the issue persists, please contact GE Appliance Service for assistance.
MY FREEZER ALWAYS COLLECTS ICE AND HAS TO BE "DEFROSTED". IS THAT USUAL? HOW DOES THE LEVER WORK? I DO NOT HAVE MY INSTRUCTIONS ANYMORE.
Is there a bypass for the water filter? I have reverse osmosis filtered water feeding the unit and don't need the filter.
Yes, the bypass plug is included.
How do you remove the glass in the bottom shelf for cleaning? Liquids have spilled in the cracks along the back and side edges.
