We got help from a GE technician over the phone on how to turn on the Sabbath feature, which essentially turns off the refrigerator, light and water and ice dispensers. Now we need help in how to turn these features back on.
Press and hold lock & light simultaneously for 3 seconds to turn on Sabbath mode.
Our Cafe Refrigerator has a Sabbath feature that allows orthodox Jews to turn off the lights and mechanical features during the Sabbath. Our refrigerator recently went crazy, making all kinds of noises and when we called for help, my husband was instructed how to turn on the Sabbath feature. Now we need instructions on how to get the refrigerator back to normal so that the interior light but ice dispenser and water dispenser are back in proper working order. Hope you can help. Thank you.
Press and hold lock & light simultaneously for 3 seconds to turn on Sabbath mode. Sabbath Mode will turn off or dim interior lights, temperature control and advanced features. Compressor will run on a timed defrost when in Sabbath mode.
