  • where are the fuses located

  • User Non avatar #107873 Asia4 months ago

The fuse is located behind the control panel and cover assembly. There isn't a reset button on your microwave, and accessing any internal components will require some disassembly, which must be performed by a qualified technician for safety reasons. You can reset the electronics by disconnecting power to the microwave for at least 30 seconds before reconnecting.

HOW TO FIND AND CHANGE FUSE. MICROWAVE KEEPS TRIPPING BREAKER

  • User Non avatar #107874 Asia4 months ago

The fuse is located behind the control panel and cover assembly. For safety reasons, we offer no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to an internal high voltage capacitor (can hold a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged). Special equipment is generally needed to make a diagnosis. Please contact an authorized GE Appliance technician (by calling 1-800-432-2737) who can accurately diagnose and repair your appliance.

Fuse blew out. Changed switches, now fuse is fine, but vent fan runs non stop

  • User Non avatar #107974 Asia4 months ago

As far as the vent fan running, please make sure your filters are clean. The fan may come on by itself whenever there is heat near the microwave; the fan cools the components which protects the life of the microwave. The fan will run up to 2 hours to keep the components cool and will then shut off on its own. This is normal.

  • The turntable motor is making a grinding sound when the oven is operated. This happens even without the glass turntable.

  • why does my microwave pop a circuit when it starts

  • User Non avatar #107975 Asia4 months ago

If the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker, this is what we recommend: 1.) Be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit. 2.) Reset the breaker or replace the household fuse and try the microwave one more time. 3.) If the breaker trips off again, unplug the microwave and contact GE Appliances service by calling 1-800-432-2737
