    The retractable cord on my B&D Model ICR15X steam iron jams at about 14 inches. I have only used it a couple of times, so it is not from wear. Any suggestions?

    To get the cord to go back into the iron you will need to press and hold the cord reel button to retract the cord for storage.

    Under the knob to press to retract the cord there is a screw, please slacken it you try to adjust it again.

    Thanks for nothing you guys never responded. I threw out my iron out.
    No more Black and Decker irons for me.

    Anyone else have issues with constant leakage. This would be a good iron if it didn't constantly leak. Water spots all over my clothes. Unfortunately out of warranty.

    My Iron's cord is jammed, too. Others have this problem, too. My question is, "does anybody know how to fix this?" Is it fixable?

    The retractable cord is in heavy use so prone to fail. Check that to retract the cord you must press the cord retract button whether it is going in or out. If this has failed, there may be a fault with the cord assembly and need replacing.

    My cord is jammed and will not pull out, can someone advise as to what to do? I really don’t want to purchase another iron.

    My power cord is jammed. It stops retracting at about 14 inches, and stops extending at about 36 inches.
