    my device does not give me option to enter password to connect to wifi

    Please try a factory reset by: Settings > System > Reset options (Erase all data).

    Then, turn on WLAN (you can also swipe down at the status bar to open the notification panel and set the WIFI), tap on the WLAN you’ re going to connect. If you select an encrypted network, a password should be input.
